Last night, I delivered the first in-person preconcert lecture in eighteen months for the chamber music series at the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts: an all Korngold program. For me, the most moving moments were due to the exquisite and heart-felt interpretations of Korngold's Lieder by Monica Schober. It was true artistry. It's rare to hear Lieder sung with such authority. Thank you for giving me and the audience such an incredible gift.
